TIN ORE EXPORT BAN
Mining Journal - 18 January 2002 - Indonesia is expected
to implement a ban on tin ore exports by the end of this month.
A draft decree is with the relevant Minister, awaiting his signature.
The ban is designed to reduce illegal tin mining, which cannot
produce tin metal. Earlier this month, local newspapers reported
