PENULTIMATE VERSION OF THE DRAFT CODE IS AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW

UNEP - 04 March 2002 - UNEP and the International Council on Metals and the Environment (ICME) co-hosted an international multistakeholder workshop in Paris in May 2000 to consider developing a Code of Practice for the use of cyanide in gold mining. Under the guidance of a multistakeholder Steering Committee, the Penultimate version (February 2002) of the Draft Code has been developed and is available for public review.
